A PLACE FULL OF DESIGN & ART
The house was built and furnished in the 80's by a local art and style enthusiast. We have preserved many elements and furniture and mixed them with modern classics of "Brazilian Modernism" and current pop culture.
The owners have a background in music and photography, collect art and have left their mark in the villa & garden accordingly.
The imposing, wide hallway with its over 5 meter high ceilings and skylights is now a gallery for contemporary black and white photography - with works by photo artists such as René Buri, Mick Rock, Mario Sorrenti, Dennis Stock, Olaf Heine or Mary Mc Cartney.
In the salons and bedrooms are other works by artists such as JR, Richard Phillips, Jonathan Meese. 4000, André, Jaybo Monk, Jim Avignon or KAWS.
In the garden, the sculpture "Black Palm" by British artist Douglas White www.douglaswhite.co.uk blends in among the natural palm trees. A work that deliberately brings into focus the theme of recycling and ecology. The artist installed the sculpture on site in February 2022.
LA PALMA PHOTOGRAPHS
This series of 12 motifs by Berlin photographer Bernd Rathjen were all taken on La Palma and are available in a strictly limited edition of 20 copies in 35x 45cm format (Hahnenmühle Fine Art Paper).

20/21 espacio de arte
In September 2023, a private collection freely accessible to the public was opened in Tijarafe (25 minutes drive). The "20/21 espacio de arte" https://2021lapalma.com/hom/ presents contemporary Spanish art from the 20th and 21st centuries. Entry is free but must be booked online in advance (open Thursday to Saturday). Highly Recommended !
