The light-flooded villa (it alone has 26 skylights) is designed in such a way that the hallway with a height of 5.20 meters functions as an almost cathedral hall.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are on the left at the rear of the house, while the lounges, each with their own terrace access, are at the front. So, even with larger groups, a lot of peace and quiet is ensured in the bedrooms.
The style of the interior design was based on high-quality design classics such as Charles Eames, Mies van der Rohe or Eileen Gray and these were skilfully combined with classic Palmerian furniture. Some beautiful old furniture has been refurbished and given a new purpose: the former kitchen buffet is now in the bathroom as an extravagant washbasin in combination with Italian Marazzi tiles. The two bathrooms are individually designed and equipped with high-quality showers, fittings, built-in cupboards and underfloor heating.
The bright kitchen with the integrated dining area is a colorful meeting point of the house - it has direct access to the pool as well as to the terrace.
Equipped with high-quality appliances, a variety of kitchen utensils and many art objects to admire in the background, it invites you to enjoy and linger with family and friends. The large table (Danish design from the 1960s) easily seats up to 8 people.
The bedrooms are furnished with double beds, individually furnished and lovingly furnished with photographs and art objects.
Garden, pool and palm trees: memories of old Palm Springs films are inevitably awakened. But the garden offers more than meets the eye at first glance. In addition to cypreses, the upper area is adorned with the typical Canarian francipanis and lots of blooming flowers. A little further back - a little hidden - the daybed stands next to a mighty pink pepper tree with a direct view of the next art object: the black palm tree culture by British artist Douglas White. While life takes place in the upper part around the pool, the lower, natural part of the garden captivates with its tranquility and a few shady spots under old trees. In the garden there are many fruit trees, such as pomegranates, avocados, figs, the mango tree that is still growing and of course plenty of medlars.
Medlars/Nisperos: The taste is refreshingly sweet and sour. Remove the thin skin and seeds.
